Today is not the day for much prose, so have some pix instead.
Gagrus, our friendly Altdorf Nurgle-demon. At least one elf died to bring you that awesome closeup. He’s a 40? 48? Lord-level steaming pile of nastiness, and was killed after a long, painful (for the tank) chase round and round one block. Good thing Gagrus isn’t too smart.
This keep-claim actually happened over a week ago, but I never got around to posting about it (and plenty of other CoWs did). It’s Cascades of Thunder, in Ellyrion (T2); we held on to it for a couple of days or so and lost it not long before the gaping emptiness of our guild coffers would have lost it for us. Two days of T2 keep holding and the guild bank went from ~500g to ~200g. We did also get most of guild rank 14… but it ain’t cheap.
See what I did there? Eh, probably not — don’t worry, it’s an obscure D&D joke… in a Warhammer post… never mind. That’s just a cool looking keep on the Chaos side of Troll Country, as seen from the Order side. They need to wash their windows. Troll Country has a bleak and moody beauty, if it weren’t for all the freaking trolls.
T3 keep in the Badlands — bigger, better and badder than T2! I didn’t note the keep’s name — I just liked the view. This is from the Warcamp with the flight master; I think it’s just a smidge too far away to see any action, had there been any occurring, but I’m not certain — it was quiet at that point.
This is a fantasy game; dragons can make or break it. In this case, I think they’re rather well done even when they’ve been dead a thousand years. That smudge on its nose is my White Lion.
I don’t suppose any of you marvellous readers have a thrilling idea for post content you’d like to see here? Me being bleeding edge with the news and infoz and all. (No laughing.) Yes, I am shamelessly trying to pick your brains; my caffeine drip hasn’t quite percolated yet.
