No rest for the wicked

So here we are — well, I am — in New Mexico, and very  nice it is too. Our furniture arrived a couple of days ago and now we’re surrounded by boxes that are exhausting just to look at, let alone deal with.

That said, as this entry clearly proves, we weren’t too tired to set up a desk and unpack at least one of our computers. C’mon, one internetless week is long enough! I was getting withdrawal symptoms — you know, sleeping better, finding useful things to do, seeing sunlight, all that kind of stuff.

Much remains to be done. Expect sporadic updates if at all. My EQ2 Sentinel’s Fate Collector’s Edition early-access go-faster-stripes box arrived right on time on Tuesday (*cough* after I remembered to change the delivery location at the last minute last week), and is sitting unopened and unloved in some cabinet somewhere. I’m not exactly sure where, and I haven’t got the time to take much of a look at it right now anyway. Waaaaah!

Sucks to be me.

Eh, just kidding. Stressful though it was, the move went pretty well and the new house/location are absolutely fantastic. Having too much fun & too much to do to actually play an online game isn’t exactly a problem, or hasn’t been since I moved out of my mum’s basement a couple of decades ago.

A friend — who is now also a neighbour, for her sins — took some pix of the house, so I may go all mushy and shary and post some of those one of these days. Maybe. After I unpack another couple of boxes…

Like the man said, no wicked for the rest. Be good — and if you can’t be good, at least be good at it.

  1. Happy to read that the move has gone well so far!

Words of advice…. just do it. You know what I mean. Those boxes won’t unpack themselves, and you’ll feel much better when it’s done. No wussing out either…. and by that I mean putting boxes that you will “deal with later” somewhere you don’t have to look at them anymore (for the next 6 months to a year).

    Cheers!
